Delhi Metro Yellow Line Update: Services Resumed After Technical Glitch

Delhiites were left stranded on Monday morning as the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line came to a halt due to a technical snag. The issue was reported at around 9:30 am, bringing the services on the line to a complete halt.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials said they had to cut off power supply to the entire Yellow Line to identify and rectify the technical glitch. The delay in resolving the issue caused inconvenience to many commuters, who were forced to look for alternative modes of transport to reach their destinations.

However, after almost two hours, the DMRC announced that the technical snag had been resolved and the services on the Yellow Line had been resumed. The delay in services affected thousands of daily commuters, who had to bear the brunt of the delay. The DMRC, in a statement, apologized for the inconvenience caused to commuters and assured that steps would be taken to avoid such instances in the future.

New Delhi Railway Station-Metro Corridor to be Operational Soon

In a recent development, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that the much-awaited New Delhi Railway Station-Metro corridor will soon be operational. The corridor, which is part of the Pink Line, is expected to reduce travel time for commuters significantly.

The New Delhi Railway Station-Metro corridor will have six stations, connecting the New Delhi Railway Station to the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus station on the Pink Line. The stations on the corridor will include Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aerocity, Airport, and Terminal 1-IGI Airport.

The DMRC officials have stated that the corridor will have two interchange stations, at the New Delhi Railway Station and the Aerocity Metro station. The corridor is expected to cater to a large number of daily commuters, as it connects key locations such as the airport and the railway station. The DMRC has not yet announced an exact date for the operationalization of the corridor, but sources indicate that it could be soon.
