Micromax IN Note 1 was launched on 3rd November 2020, with the promise of guaranteed two year software updates by Rahul Sharma himself. But the homegrown Smartphone yet failed to fulfill this promise and two years have crossed already.
Don’t worry you aren’t the alone one when it comes to supporting homegrown brands. We too bought this device but were turned down by Micromax with poor after sales service.
So we at Gag4n will be guide you on how you can install Anroid 12 on your Micromax IN Note 1, thanks to Custom ROM developers who have made it possible.
Micromax IN Note 1 Android 12 Software Update
At the time of writing ( and sometimes updating the post :p ) Micromax IN Note 1 ( codename yogurt ) has Arrow OS Android 12 working.
Back in October 2021 when I got the device I tried installing Android 12, using GSI ( Generic System Images ) on this device in October 2021.
Please ignore any of the technical term which I may had said incorrectly, I literally had zero idea about anything at that time:p
But the lack of my technical knowledge regarding installing Custom Roms and no devs for this device, I had to reinstall the Stock Rom. And the major reason why I couldn’t share much more on the device was the lack of time!
But things have changed now.
We have devs who have contributed to this device from Custom Recoveries, Kernels, ROMs, and testers too! Therefore we will share this guide on how you can install Android 12 on your Micromax IN Note 1 that actually works.
Things You Will Need
Before we can jump to installing Android 12 on this smartphone, you’ll need these:
- Micromax IN Note 1 ( Definitely )
- A Computer ( Flashing Roms are better done with it)
- A Type C USB Cable
- Android Platform Tools
- ROM which we’ll be Installing, which will be Arrow OS

If your IN Note 1 get’s stuck like it doesn’t boot / stuck in the bootloader / recovery just flash the Stock Rom and you will get the device in the working condition. So better Download SP Flash Tools and the Stock ROM of Micromax IN Note 1 before you start with this process.

To start with the process you’ll need to unlock the bootloader of your Micromax IN Note 1. The procedure for unlocking the device can be found here
Once you have unlocked the Bootloader download the given files below:
