According to sources, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced for admission into 23 IITs throughout the nation will take place on August 28. Students who applied for JEE Advanced 2021 but did not show up for the test have been given the opportunity to take it again in JEE Advanced 2022.
However, this exemption, according to IIT Bombay, only applies to candidates who missed both the first and second rounds of the JEE Advanced 2021 examinations. Only those who missed the second round of the JEE Advanced 2021 exams were absent from both of the first round’s assessments. Those who were there for the first test but merely absent for the second test will not be permitted.
The exam is scheduled to take place on August 28. A computer-based exam will be used to administer the JEE Advanced in 2022. The exam will be divided into two three-hour papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). Additionally, participation in both papers is required.
On August 28, the three-hour JEE Advanced exam will be administered in two shifts, the first from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the second from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The JEE Mains results show that CBSE students did the best this year out of the two sessions that are held each year.
Students from state boards like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, in addition to CBSE, also did well on the exam this year.
The National Testing Agency claims all testing locations will have jammers installed in order to stop cheating using mobile phones or other electronic devices. Jammers had already been deployed for JEE Mains.
Academician C.S. Kandpal claims that the list of candidates for the JEE Advanced exam is created based on the JEE Mains exam’s final outcome.
At least 2,50,000 candidates who do well in JEE Mains are given the opportunity to participate in JEE Advanced. This time, the remaining 2021 students have also been included on that list.
One can only take the JEE Advanced exam a maximum of thrice in two consecutive years. All candidates for the exam must have successfully completed their 12th board exams in either 2021 or 2022.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2022, students whose results for the academic year 2019–20 were released after October 15, 2020, must meet specific criteria.
In order to conduct the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams for admission to not just the IITs but also other engineering institutes across the nation, the Union Ministry of Education has established a 19-member board.
The Ministry of Education also established the board, according to board chairman Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi, a former director of IIT Madras, to increase the transparency of the JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination processes.
The Ministry has appointed the Director General (DG) of the NTA as Member Secretary of the Board, and much like every other time, the several IITs have a significant role to play on the board.
The exams are organized by IIT Bombay, one of the top boards. The directors of IIT Guwahati and IIT Kharagpur will also have significant roles to play.
