after tech giants google and meta laid off several thousand employees globally, the streaming app is set to sack some of its workforce

the streaming giant currently has around 9,800 employees according to its 3rd quarter earning report

"Over the last few months we've made a considerable effort to rein in costs, but it simply hasn't been enough," Chief Executive Daniel Elk said in a blog post announcing the roughly 600 job cuts.

GOOGLE RECENTLY LET GO OF OVER 12000 EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING SOME WHO HAD BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
