Sainik School Admission 2023: Important Dates and Information
The application for Sainik School Admission 2023 has been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Aspiring candidates can register for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) through the official website aissee.nta.nic.in. The application process commenced on 20 October 2022 and will conclude on 25 November 2022. The admit card for the exam will be available to download on the website from 11 January 2023. The AISSEE 2023 written exam will be held on 29 January 2023.
Sainik Schools are residential schools for boys that were established by the government in different parts of India. The schools aim to prepare students for a career in the armed forces by providing them a rigorous academic education and instilling in them discipline, leadership, and physical fitness. About AISSEE:
The AISSEE is an objective type exam that is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A is a multiple-choice test that assesses the candidates’ proficiency in Mathematics, English, and Intelligence. Part B is a subject-specific essay writing test that evaluates candidates’ general awareness and expression. The exam duration is two-and-a-half hours, and it is conducted in both Hindi and English languages.
Candidates who pass the written exam will be called for an interview and a medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the written exam, interview, and medical examination. The admission procedure will begin in April 2023, after which successful candidates will be granted admission to Sainik School.
