Physicswallah High Data Consumption Problem During Live Lecture Solved

Physicswallah is has shown enormous growth and success in the Edtech field. It was launched in 2020 as a Company and today its heights are as good as the old Players as students preparing for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, NDA, Boards are showering immense love on the Alakh Pandey Owned Company.

How to Solve High Data Consumption during Live Lectures

The students of Physicswallah face a problem of high data usage whenever they watch the live lectures and those students who have limited internet connectivity can hardly manage to watch the lectures. Responding to this issue I have a solution which can be seen in the following video along with the reason behind this problem. I have hereby used my Lakshya JEE batch 2022 subscription in this video.

How to Change Quality of Live Class In Physicswallah Online Classes?

For PC Users

For now Physicswallah has disabled the Ctrl+Shift+I but you can just go to three dots> more tools > Developer Options to get into the code of the page
In no way I show any intention to support any piracy of Physicswallah
Lectures. The method is only for those students who have a limited internet
connectivity

For Smartphone Users

Kudos to Hemant Kumar who used a script which can be used to inspect webpages on smartphones on your Chrome browser only. He has willingly allowed to share the video here and the YouTube Channel.

Here is the video for reducing the data consumption while watching live lectures on Paid Batches of Physicswallah. He too has used the Lakshya JEE Batch for showing the demonstration of how to do the same.

Inspect Element URL

javascript:(function () { var script = document.createElement(‘script’); script.src=”//cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/eruda”; document.body.appendChild(script); script.onload = function () { eruda.init() } })();

Conclusion

Physicswallah uses YouTube for delivering live content to its students apparently to save costs. YouTube on the other hand is one of the best service to stream live content. No doubt that students earlier have reached the Physicswallah support staff regarding the High Data Consumption while watching live lectures on the platform.

But the Support Team can’t really do anything until Physicswallah delivers the live lectures from YouTube to their own server. As Physicswallah uses its own customised player over the top of YouTube video, they cannot add a option to change the resolution, as YouTube removed that option from its API.

For Now we can only hope that Physicswallah implements a better Platform to deliver content to solve out the students Platform to rival its competitors like Unacademy, Vedantu, Byjus and other competitive exam prep apps!

Does Physicswallah Live Classes Consume High Internet Data?

PW uses YouTube to stream their live lectures for their paid batches. These live stream is shown to students on their website via custom player. Since YouTube removed the capability to pass changing quality option over its API, the students are shown with the highest quality of the lecture resulting in high data consumption

How much interent is consumed in 1 live lecture?

Its depend on the duration of the lecture. On an average for every 1 hour lecture you’ll consume around 700MB data
